Privacy Policy
Asked is a cloud-hosted interview copilot for hiring teams. Recall.ai cloud bots join candidate video calls to capture and transcribe interviews. Transcripts, scorecards, rubrics, and candidate records are stored in a cloud database. This policy explains what data we collect, where it lives, and how we use it.
1. What we collect
- Account information. Workspace name, billing contact, seat list, and the plan you subscribed to.
- Interview content. Audio transcripts, AI-generated scorecards, rubrics, evidence quotes, and candidate records produced during or after each interview session.
- Service telemetry. App version, session counts, error reports, and aggregate usage metrics used to monitor reliability.
- Billing meter. Number of bot-live minutes consumed per workspace for the current billing cycle.
2. Where your data is stored
All interview content, scorecards, rubrics, and candidate records are stored in a cloud Postgres database hosted on Supabase. Application services run on Fly.io. Data resides in the cloud from the moment the bot joins the call. This is a fully cloud-hosted product with no local storage component.
3. How interviews are captured
When an interview session starts, Asked deploys a Recall.ai cloud bot that joins the video call directly. The bot captures audio and video from the call, produces a transcript, and delivers the transcript to our services for scoring. The bot operates from Recall.ai's infrastructure, not from any device belonging to the interviewer or candidate.
4. Third-party processors
- Recall.ai. Provides cloud bot infrastructure for meeting capture and transcription. Interview audio and transcripts pass through Recall.ai systems. Review Recall.ai's privacy policy at recall.ai.
- xAI. Provides the language model (Grok) used to generate scorecards and analysis from transcripts. Transcript text is sent to xAI for scoring. Review xAI's privacy policy at x.ai.
- Supabase. Hosts the Postgres database where all structured data is stored.
- Fly.io. Runs the application services that orchestrate bots, process transcripts, and serve the web interface.
- Payment processor. Handles subscription billing. Payment card data is not stored by Asked.
There is no desktop application, no on-device processing, and no bring-your-own-model option. All AI processing runs through the processors named above.
5. ATS sync (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby)
When you connect an ATS, Asked reads job-posting and candidate records to populate roles, rubrics, and panel assignments, and writes finalized scorecards back when you push them. The connection is held per workspace and can be revoked at any time from Settings. ATS credentials are stored encrypted in our cloud database.
6. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service, including bot dispatch and scorecard generation.
- Manage subscriptions and calculate metered billing.
- Diagnose errors and improve service reliability.
- Send account, billing, and security notices.
7. What we never do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not train models on your interview transcripts, scorecards, or any candidate data.
- We do not access your interview content except to deliver the Service or as required by law.
8. Sharing
We share data only with the third-party processors listed above that are necessary to run the Service, and only the minimum each processor needs. We will disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
9. Candidate notice and consent
When a Recall.ai bot joins a video call, participants in the call may receive a notification from the meeting platform. The employer and interviewer are responsible for notifying candidates that an interview is being recorded and analyzed by an AI system, and for obtaining all consents required by applicable law in the candidate's jurisdiction. Daily Interview does not contact candidates directly.
10. Your rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of the account and interview data we hold by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and consistent with applicable law.
11. Retention
We retain account and billing records for as long as your subscription is active and for the period required by tax and accounting rules after cancellation. Interview transcripts and scorecards are retained until you delete them or close your account. Telemetry is aggregated and not linked to identifiable users after 90 days.
12. Changes
Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
